A Family Day on the Waterfalls
Yesterday we had a family of four with two teens join us for a Waterfall Descents trip at Las Cascadas Lodge. They came up from La Ceiba ready for it, dressed well and fully into the experience from the start.
Canyoning (Canyoneering in the United States, Kloofing in South Africa) is traveling in canyons using a variety of techniques that may include other outdoor activities such as walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling (rappelling), and swimming. ?What is canyoning?
Our guides handled everything, including photos and videos, so they could stay focused on the fun. The route includes a mix of rappels, small jumps, and light down climbing, all with strong safety support along the way.
They did great, especially the teens, and it was one of those days where everything just flows. These trips are open by reservation, even if you are staying elsewhere in the area, and we can help organize transport if needed.
